Santa's Toy Box Clowns are a group of clowns from the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

History with the Macy’s Parade

Santa's Toy Box Clowns made their Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade debut in 2006, travelling all the way from the North Pole and springing to life to spread holiday cheer along the Parade route. Originally float escorts to the classic Santa's Sleigh float, the gaggle of Mr. Claus' playthings don festive red-and-green apparel, red rosy cheeks and elf hats. The clown group traditionally appears alongside the Rocking Horse toy float, or escorting the jolly man himself en route to 34th Street.

In addition to appearing in the Macy's Parade, the costumes for Santa's Toy Box Clowns are used annually in Santaland, worn by Macy's employees who bring the magic to the mystical and wonderful attraction

Santa's Toy Box Clowns were scheduled to don masks and make a special appearance at the reimagined 2020 Parade. However, as COVID-19 cases rose throughout New York City in the weeks leading up to the Parade, a reduction of participants was made and several Parade elements were pulled from the line of march, including Santa's Toy Box Clowns.
