SnoBo is a balloonicle from the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

History with the Macy's Parade

SnowBo first appeared in the 2005 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, taking form as the Parade's second-ever balloonicle. He is portrayed as a happy hobo snowman sporting his formal best and tipping his top hat to his many fans. Unlike most units in the Parade, SnoBo is one of the rare few that has a backstory to him. The story begins when he was a cool snowman, roaming around town and quoting his favorite book The Glacier while socializing with the likes of Robert Frost. After the stock market crash, all of SnoBo's assets were frozen, leaving him in dire need of cold cash. Since those days, he has traveled the Parade circuit, deflating his ego somewhat, but always rises to the occasion with his head held high, becoming rich at heart. SnoBo made the usual three appearances in the main parade, where he was retired shortly after 2007.

In addition to appearing in the main Parade, he made his debut in the 2005 edition of Macy's Holiday Parade, and would continue to appear until 2008, when he was retired altogether, and hasn't made another public appearance since. Despite that, the balloonicle still survives at the float warehouse as of 2014.
