Stilt Walkers

Stilt walkers are specially-trained individuals who are able to walk on stilts at entertainment venues. Stilt walkers perform in parades, festivals street events and celebratory occasions. Since the inception of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in 1924, there have been many stilt walkers that appear alongside clown groups and specialty units to entertain Parade spectators. Occasionally a sponsored float will also be joined by several stilt walkers
