Sunny the Snow Pal is a character who is an original creation by Macy's themselves for their 2018 holiday campaign. She is depicted as an astronaut snowgirl who comes to the rescue with her friend Fox when Santa's sleigh breaks down on Christmas Eve. Blasting off in her rocket ship, Sunny repairs the sleigh, saves the day and shows reasons to believe in the wonder of giving.
History with the Macy's Parade
To promote Macy's 2018 holiday campaign, Sunny made her debut as a novelty balloon in the 92nd Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in 2018, having the honor of welcoming Santa Claus when Charlie, Kit & C.J. Holiday Elves were absent. She was also the Holiday Ambassador that same year, and with that a plush version of the balloon was sold exclusively at Macy's Herald Square.
In addition to appearing as a balloon, Sunny also had a cold-air inflatable marquee at Macy's Herald Square, alongside her being featured in Macy's Holiday Windows.
