The 19th Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade was held on November 22, 1945 in New York City, and was shown to viewers live on some local NBC radio stations and television systems that same day from 11:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. EST. The lineup featured five giant helium balloons, 17 floats, seven bands, scores of clowns, and the one-and-only Santa Claus.
