The 29th Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade was held on November 24th, 1955, in New York City and shown to viewers live on NBC that same day from 10 AM to 11 EST. The lineup featured 4 giant character balloons, floats, more than 700 clowns, marching bands, a host of musical stars, and the one and-only Santa Claus.
