The 36th Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade was held on November 22th, 1962, in New York City and shown to viewers live on NBC that same day from 11 AM to Noon EST. It was hosted by Bud Palmer and Chris Schenkel. The lineup featured 5 giant character balloons, floats, more than 700 clowns, marching bands, performance groups, a host of musical stars, and the one and-only Santa Claus.
