The 46th Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade was held on November 23, 1972, in New York City and shown to viewers live on NBC that same day from 9 a.m. to noon EST. It was hosted by Lorne Greene, Betty White, Joe Garagiola, and Phyllis George. Participating celebrities included the likes of Cathy Rigby, Danny Bonaduce, Freda Payne, Donna Fargo, Rick Springfield, Bill Anderson, and Tommy Cash.
