The 67th Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade was held on November 25, 1993, in New York City and shown to viewers live on NBC that same day from 9 a.m. to noon EST. The telecast was hosted by Willard Scott and Katie Couric. The lineup featured 16 giant helium balloons, 23 novelty balloons, 13 marching bands, 21 floats, a host of celebrity appearances, and the one-and-only Santa Claus.

Trivia[]

  • The 1993 Parade marked the final time that Lynda Lopez served as the announcer for the Parade's NBC broadcast. The following year, Don Pardo took over announcing duties.
  • This was the last Parade to feature a Goodyear balloon in the giant balloon lineup (in this case, Smokey)
  • Bugs Bunny and Betty Boop were considered to appear, but were ultimately sidelined.
