Incidents and accidents[]
- The Lap Dog balloon tore loose from the leash near 90th Street. It was deflated and removed from the parade.
- The Gobble the Turkey balloon hit a No Parking sign at 58th Street and 6th Avenue. Like with the Lap Dog, it was deflated and removed from the parade.
- At one point. Old Man Dragon got tangled up at Times Square, but thankfully it got untangled.
- At the beginning route, The Inspector was blown into the crowd, but no one was hurt.
Trivia[]
- Some of the balloons started slowly deflating halfway through the route, but still made it to the end.
- The balloons had to get their legs cut off before they were released.
- Old Man Dragon was the first balloon to break the record as the longest balloon in the parade's history with it's length being 178 feet long.
