The 82nd Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade was held on November 27th, 2008, in New York City, and shown to viewers live on NBC that same day from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. EST. It was hosted by Meredith Vieira, Matt Lauer and Al Roker. The lineup featured 13 giant character helium balloons; 35 novelty/ornament balloons, balloonheads and balloonicles; 10 marching bands; 28 floats; over 1,700 cheerleaders, dancers, singers and performers; 900 clowns; and a host of celebrity performers.
