The Big Comfy Couch is a Canadian children's television show about Loonette the Clown and her doll Molly, who solve everyday problems on their Big Comfy Couch. It aired from March 2, 1992, until December 29, 2006. It was produced by Cheryl Wagner and Robert Mills, directed by Wayne Moss, Robert Mills, and Steve Wright. It premiered on March 2, 1992, in Canada and on January 9, 1995, in the United States on public television stations across the country.

History with the Macy's Parade

To promote the show's revival in 2003, the Macy's Parade team partnered alongside Tadpole Entertainment to furnish an all-new float. The float featured the iconic Big Comfy Couch in the background, with Loonette and Molly waving to the crowd. Coming out from under the couch, the Dust Bunnies danced around and interacted with the characters on the float. A giant toy block sat on the right side of the float. On the left side of the float, Loonette's mailbox is ready to be filled with holiday greetings, as a package labeled "To Loonette" sits in front. The float only appeared in 2003, and it is unlikely to ever return.
