History in the Parade[]
Riding off their decade-long success, the Black Eyed Peas would make their first Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade appearance in the 2019 Parade, The musical group appeared and performed on the "NHL's Most Valuable Hockey Mom" float, which was presented by MassMutual and the NHL, and depicted a snowy backyard game of ice hockey with kids taking a slapshot at a massive wooden turkey.
Prior to their Parade appearance, the official group's Instagram account promoted their performance with a post that read "Add a side of Black Eyed Peas to your Thanksgiving this year", also encouraging viewers to watch the NBC telecast.
The Black Eyed Peas performed their recently-released song, "RITMO", on the Parade's telecast, which was featured in the soundtrack of the 2020 film, Bad Boys for Life. Many fans of the group noted that one of the members, Fergie, was absent from the performance with several taking to social media to share their concerns. Will.i.am responded to the concerns with a statement that read “Fergie is family and will always be a Pea. She is focused on her solo album which we fully support."
The group would later perform for the reimagined 2020 Macy's 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular, where they would perform songs "Feel The Beat" and "Where Is The Love?"
