The Cootie is a mini-float from the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. It was based on the tabletop game Cootie from Hasbro.
History with the Macy's Parade[]
The Cootie first appeared in the Macy's Parade from 1975 and would make seven appearances up until 1981, when it was retired.
After the float's retirement, it was donated to a children's museum in Washington DC, where it stayed for years before ending up at Shenandoah Caverns in Quicksburg, Virginia, where it resides today.
