The Pride of the Dakotas Marching Band, also known simply as The Pride is a marching band from South Dakota State University, located in Brookings, South Dakota. Founded in 1890, the band is known for performing at state dedication ceremonies for war memorials, high school football state championship games and many high school marching band competitions. The Pride is comprised of hundreds of students, mostly instrumentalists, with a color guard and a feature twirler.
History with the Macy's Parade[]
The Pride is scheduled to make its debut in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in the 2022 Parade, representing the state of South Dakota.
