History with the Macy's Parade[]

Tim McGraw made his first and only Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade appearance in 1997. Here, McGraw appeared and performed from aboard the Macy's-sponsored Westward Ho! Float, which featured a replica of a Conestoga wagon, measuring 32 ft. long and 25 ft. high. The Float was pulled by the largest ox this side of the Mississippi and carried 40 frontier children.

For McGraw's NBC broadcast performance, the musical superstar performed his song "Where the Green Grass Grows," which had been released earlier that year in July.

In addition to his appearance in the Macy's Parade, McGraw has made several appearances as talent on NBC's telecast of the Macy's 4th of July Fireworks.
