Tough Guy and Bulldog are a pair of trycaloons from the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

History with the Macy's Parade[]

Tough Guy and Bulldog made their debut on a bicycle built for two in the 2011 Parade, becoming the first-ever trycaloons—a cold-air inflatable mounted on a tandem tricycle—in Parade history. Bulldog, whose bark is as big as his bike; and Tough Guy, who loves cupcakes; are seen peddling in the rear seat as kooky convicts help them cause a jailbreak on the Parade route.

The trycaloons are occasionally joined by the Keystone Cops, who bring order to the rotund rabble-rousers under the watchful eye of Harold the Policeman (between 2011 and 2016).

Tough Guy and Bulldog were a part of the initial lineup for the 2020 Parade, which was scaled down as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. The trycaloons were later entirely taken out of the lineup in the days leading up to the event as the number of participants was further reduced. Despite this, the trycaloons returned to the line of march in 2021, and were retired after 2023.
