Toyland was a series of floats made for the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in the early 1960's.
History With the Macy's Parade[]
Toyland (1958 & 1962)[]
The first Toyland float only appeared in 1958 and it was sponsored by Ideal Toy Corporation. By 1962, Macy's themselves spenders another new Toyland float debuted and it lasted for only three years.
Toyland (1965)[]
After a year of absence, a third new Toyland float made its debut in 1965. This time, It featured a giant colorful castle escorted by Knights in Shining Armor. The Rocking Horse toy float also rode on top of the float. The float was retired after the 1966 Parade and several parts from the float were later recycled into the Walt Disney World Castle float in 1971.
