Universal Orlando Resort (colloquially known as Universal Orlando) is a theme park and entertainment complex located in Orlando, Florida. Universal Orlando consists of two theme parks (Universal Studios Florida and Universal's Islands of Adventures, a waterpark (Volcano Bay), a shopping and entertainment district (Universal CityWalk), and eight hotels. A third theme park, Epic Universe, alongside an accompanying hotel, are slated to open in 2025.

The resort opened on June 7, 1990 with only the Universal Studios Florida theme park. Since the opening of the its other attractions, it has become one of the most visited resorts in the world with an annual attendance count of 21 million in 2017.

History with the Macy's Parade[]

Macy's and Universal Orlando Resort have collaborated since 2002 to produce a holiday parade for the Universal Studios Florida's lineup of holiday attractions. The original iteration of the Parade borrowed balloons, floats, props, and costumes from the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City, and an original soundtrack that featured the song "Let Your Heart Take Flight."

To promote the procession, Universal Orlando has sponsored at least one element in the Macy's Parade every year, which can range from balloons to specialty units. The elements that Universal Orlando Resort have sponsored over the years include:
