The Marching Illini is the official marching band of the University of Illinois in Champaign County, Illinois. The band was founded in 1867 as "The Nation's Premier College Marching Band". In addition to attending every Illinois Fighting Illini home football game, these students also take part in many events in and out of campus, including events run by the school and parades all over the world. They travel to Ireland every few years for annual appearances in Dublin's St. Patrick's Day Parade, and they have also represented their school in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, the Tournament of Roses Parade and the Pearl Harbor Memorial Parade.

2015 marked the Parade debut of the Nation's Premier College Marching Band. For their Herald Square appearance on NBC, they performed "Here Comes Santa Claus", a fun rendition of "Up on the Housetop".
